MRI Essentials is the evolution of a textbook on musculoskeletal MRI. For every topic, you’ll find concise texts, schematic illustrations, and numerous MRI examples. All content is focused on what is clinically relevant. The app also includes an anatomy section, allowing users to quickly locate structures and review essential facts.
MRI Essentials is a valuable companion for everyday radiology practice. It’s also an excellent tool for systematically learning musculoskeletal MRI. Many orthopedic surgeons appreciate and use the app as well!
Its scope goes far beyond conventional textbooks. Scrolling through image stacks, linking between topics, full-text search, and continuous content updates are simply not possible in printed books. Compared to Google, the app stands out through its clear, structured presentation of clinically relevant information. The content is optimized to help users quickly find what truly matters.
A clear menu structure guides you to the desired chapter in just a few clicks. In the mobile app, navigation is icon-based; on the web version, you can also use pull-down menus. The anatomy section is interactive – simply click on a structure in the image or select it from the menu.
Once you register with your email address and a password, you automatically gain full access to all MRI Essentials content. No payment details are required. Only if you wish to continue using the app after the trial period will you be asked to subscribe to a paid annual plan.
All content is thoroughly reviewed by Dr. Wolfgang Fischer. It is based on a vast number of literature sources (which are cited for reference), discussions with radiology and orthopedic colleagues, professional conferences, and many years of clinical experience. Great care is taken in selecting case examples, including prior exams, follow-ups, clinical files, surgical reports, and, where applicable, histological findings to ensure maximum reliability.
Absolutely. We welcome all types of feedback and always strive to incorporate your suggestions into the ongoing development of MRI Essentials.
